Academic Oversight
All curriculum and course development is the purview of academic departments
New course and major revision proposals are initiated by academic departments and go to EPC and APPC
Students taking courses via OL count towards the enrolment numbers of academic departments and the respective School/Faculty.
Open Learning Faculty Members (OLFMs) are represented by the TRU Open Learning Faculty Association and report to the Director, Curriculum Development and Delivery and are supported by the Associate Director, Program Delivery (Sarah Langlois) who communicate regularly with Associate Deans.
Academic departments set the qualifications for OLFMs and course developers and have voting representation on all hiring committees.
